About us

The Human Language and Accessibility Technologies Group (HULAT) is part of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. We participate in R & D projects related to natural language processing (NLP) in biomedical domain (biomedical literature, clinical narrative and social media),  usability and accessibility of user interfaces. We work in close collaboration with different companies such as MeaningCloud. 

Members of the group belong to the Spanish Centre of Subtitling and Audiodescription (CESYA) in charge of promoting audiovisual accessibility in different areas (education, culture, health)
