Short Bio

Barbara Corsetti holds a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Engineering and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering. In 2020, she obtained a Doctorate in HCI from the School of Electronic Engineering at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. During her Doctorate, which was funded by a Marie Curie Action, she developed and validated a methodology for assessing the accessibility of mobile biometric devices.

In 2022, she was awarded a Margarita Salas Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Computer Science at Carlos III University and joined the HULAT group. Her work focuses on accessibility, primarily designing and developing interactive systems to assist users with accessibility issues.

Barbara's expertise extends beyond the academic realm. She has worked as a User Experience (UX) Researcher and Designer for over 5 years in various international companies such as Telefónica, BBVA, TADANO Japan, Vass, and ecenta Singapore.

She is a co-author of several international publications and she is actively involved in teaching activities across different degree programs at Carlos III University of Madrid.

Barbara is a member of the  Asociación Interacción Hombre-Máquina (AIPO) in Spain and the Marie Curie Alumni Association.
